Hi, I'm Paula.

The young me trained as a dressmaker for 5 years, with two fabulous ladies called Gillie Christie and Dorothy Duncan, at Nimble Thimbles. This core training has proved invaluable in my sewing journey.

I was very fortunate to have worked with Interior Designers and Johnstons of Elgin, before catching the kilt making bug! When the opportunity for a move to New Zealand came along I decided to train as a kiltmaker to take my Scottish heritage with me.

When I returned, I took a teaching position with the Keith Kilt and Textile Centre where I taught this amazing craft for 5 years. Training students to the highest standard to obtain their SQA and obtaining my own certificate as an assessor along the way.

In 2017 I decided to branch out on my own and Paula Duncan Bespoke Kilt Making was born.

" Very professional teacher, lots of patience and guidance, knows her stuff, defo recommend. Five stars +
